12-07-09: MARINE Climate Change Seminar Series
Mark your calendars everyone! Students and faculty from around Monterey Bay will be converging right here at MLML for the next MARINE seminar in one short week. Please do your best to attend - I think we will have a great showing due to our central location, and its a great opportunity to meet people from other campuses. Plus these should be some great talks from our very own.
Attached is the event flier, and the important is below.
Announcing a special seminar series for Monterey Bay graduate students in marine sciences or policy:
What do policy makers need to know about climate change & oceans?
Monday, December 7
Moss Landing Marine Laboratories
6:00–8:30pm
Iron Fertilization as an Atmospheric CO2 Mitigation Strategy
Kenneth Coale
Predicting Sea-Level Rise off California
Laurence Breaker
The Changing Climate of Science Education
Dr. Simona Bartl
Attend the second seminar of the series featuring distinguished faculty from Moss Landing Marine Labs followed by a networking & food break to discuss the issues with your colleagues and brainstorm questions for the discussion session. The faculty will then answer questions and talk more about the policy implications of their research.
For anyone who is interested, we could use your help in setting up the seminar room around 5 pm on Monday.
Thanks, see you there!
