| Description: | Understanding the adaptations of marine algae to their environment. Physiological topics will incude respiration, enzyme activity, and biochemical composition. Hands-on experience in basic electronic instrumentation, chemical separations, optical measurements, culturing methods and radioisotope techniques. Designed for students interested in the biology of seaweeds and phytoplankton. |
