Corina I. Marks
Corina graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Systems with an emphasis in Ecology, Behavior, & Environmental Policy. After graduating, Corina worked primarily at sea as a marine technician for the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Physical Oceanography Research Division. During this time, she worked on trans-Pacific voyages collecting high density temperature measurements and sea water samples for climatological research and the Global Ocean Observing System.
Corina works as a technician with the Fisheries and Conservation Biology Lab. Her work includes collaborative research on the status of Rockfish Conservation Areas in California, MPA monitoring with CCFRP and Reef Check CA, and studying the distribution and habitat associations of overfished species.
